Regional carrier Star Air receives its 10th aircraft Embraer E175 ( VT – GSM ) age 12 years flew from Cairo, Egypt with a halt in Muscat, Oman finally landing into Bengaluru, India. Star air is expecting to increase its fleet size from 10 aircrafts to 25 aircrafts by year 2026. Star Air is strategically positioned for strong regional connectivity, especially under India’s UDAN scheme.
The jet is a LR version meaning it can travel 1900 nm compared to its standard version 1700 nm. Star Air configuration of the jet will be 76 seats ( 12 Business and 64 Economy ) with 2 – 2 seating calling it ” No middle seat ” config. The jet is powered by General Electric CF34-8E turbofan engines and has a ceiling of 35,000 feet. Increasing it’s routes in Gujarat, the new jet surely will be of help. Expanding operations via Hyderabad and Belagavi allows broader reach into tier-2 and tier-3 cities, aligning with Star Air’s “Connecting Real India” vision.
