In response to the rapid expansion of India’s aviation industry and the growing demand for skilled pilots, InterGlobe Enterprises has partnered with global simulation leader CAE to open a cutting-edge pilot training center in Mumbai. Scheduled to launch in early 2026, this facility spans 44,000 square feet and will initially be equipped with six full-flight simulators, including two Airbus A320 models.
The joint venture aims to address India’s forecasted need for approximately 20,000 new pilots over the next decade, driven by the increasing fleet sizes of domestic and international airlines operating across the country. By combining InterGlobe’s operational expertise with CAE’s world-class training technology, the center is poised to set new industry standards in pilot training quality and safety.
This initiative supports India’s broader ambitions to enhance aviation infrastructure and workforce capabilities, aligning with government plans to boost air connectivity and expand airport infrastructure nationwide. The pilot training center will streamline the certification process, reduce training bottlenecks, and help ensure that India’s civil aviation sector is staffed with proficient pilots ready to meet future challenges.
The partnership marks a significant milestone in aviation training within India, reinforcing the country’s position as an emerging center for aviation excellence.
